Blended from multiple lots of wine in the cellar, this wine experienced a secondary fermentation, under pressure, to form the bubbles.

2016 Chardonnay

Notes from the Winemaker

Creamy and fruity, our 2016 Chardonnay is a balance of fresh flavors and well‐integrated oak. Barrel‐fermented and aged on the lees, this wine expresses a smooth, buttery bouquet interwoven with hints of clove. Notes of Asian pear, passion fruit and papaya hit the palate first and are supported by a crème brûlée and vanilla finish. Rich enough for those who love a silken Chardonnay, this vintage will also please fruit‐forward wine lovers.

Production Notes

Before pressing, the must sat on the skins for a couple hours. All the lots used to make this wine were barrel fermented and completed malolactic fermentation. Sur lie aged in French oak for 27 months, the barrels were stirred each month to enhance aromatics, flavors and mouthfeel.

2016 Dry Riesling

Notes from the Winemaker

Full of citrus and a slight minerality, this Riesling is sure to satisfy both dry and sweet drinkers alike. Lime peel, grapefruit and banana round out this vintage’s profile.

Production Notes

Fermented with RHST yeast, this wine was aged in stainless steel tanks for five months.

2016 Pinot Noir

Notes from the Winemaker

Deep, complex and rich, this Pinot Noir is a classic example of the varietal’s flavor profile and demonstrates its suitability for aging. An earthy aroma of oak, leather and flint is an expression of the 18 months the wine spent aging in French oak barrels. The extended aging provides a structured palate for flavors of dark cherries, raspberries and chocolate to shine through. This wine is well suited for those looking to explore the richer side of Michigan Pinot Noir.

Production Notes

Cold soaked and fermented on the skins for 10 days, the wines used to create this vintage underwent malolactic fermentation and were aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.

2011 Merlot

Notes from the Winemaker

Deep, complex and jammy, our 2011 Merlot is a decadent expression of the classic varietal united with our terroir. Dried cranberry, prune and cherry candy waft off the nose complimenting this wine’s deep crimson color. Black plum and blackberry fruit mix with dark chocolate and a slightly earthy, leather backend. The delicate smoky finish flourishes the wine’s extremely well integrated tannins and residual acid, showing the wine’s continual aging prospects.

100% Merlot

Production Notes

Cold soaked and fermented on the skins for up to two weeks, and aged in French and American Oak barrels for more than two years.
