French Valley started the way many good things do—in the dirt, under Northern Michigan skies, with a simple idea: create a place where people can slow down, spread out, and enjoy life together. From our first five acres of grapes planted in 2000 on a former cherry farm to today’s 70-acre landscape of vineyard views, orchards, and open-air gathering spaces, that idea still guides everything we do.
At our core, French Valley has always been about connection. Families. Friends. Neighbors. And yes—dogs, too.

We believe celebrations are better when everyone is included. That’s why French Valley is proudly dog-friendly, welcoming well-behaved pups to join their humans during visits, gatherings, and many private events. With wide-open spaces, grassy areas, and room to roam, it’s an easy, relaxed environment where dogs feel just as at home as their people.
